Afternoon,

we are making enquiries into a black van (possibly a Ford Transit) that is reported to have been offering young people lifts in a couple of our rural areas

This is not an offence in itself, but has caused some concern in the community, and we are keen to resolve it as soon as possible.

One line of enquiry from Martin Moor has been explored, but this is not believed to be the van in question as it is an older model. CCTV from the Royal Oak at Scopwick shows what would appear to be a newer style van within the relevant time frames. The number plate can't be seen.

Please could you check your CCTV cameras for a black van at / between the approximate times -

22:00 at MAIN STREET, SCOPWICK on Wednesday 14th October

22:25 at DUNSTON ROAD, METHERINGHAM on Thursday 15th October

18:55 at HALL YARD, METHERINGHAM on Friday 16th October
